So I Found an Old Poem in my Drive..
And it is now published!
On an actual website where people read it and went "Alright, we'll take that."
The poem is called A Silent Existence, and it's about that time when life felt muted, the quiet dread mixed in with strange hope.
Originally, it was just something I had written for a college assignment, sitting in my room, staring at the same four walls I'd memorised way too well. And even though it was technically "for class", I think I wrote it because I needed some place to put all those weird, heavy feelings I carried from that limbo.
Fast forward to this year when I rediscovered it, cringed a little (as one does), but then thought, "eh, it's not half bad." So, I sent it in with no expectations but a hint of curiosity. And maybe a tiny challenge to myself to stop hoarding my writing like a dragon with a treasure.
And Spillwords Press actually accepted it.
Which is wild, considering this poem lived in a Word document no one has opened since 2021.
You can read it here (look at me saying that like a Real Writer™):

Anyway. I guess this is my official “my first publication!” post.
I’m glad it’s out there. I’m glad I put something out there.
This might be the first, but I doubt it’ll be the last.
